HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-25 - Conflict of Interest Code• • RESOLUTION NO. 90- 25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE LIST OF POSITIONS DESIGNATED BY THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE AS THOSE WHICH REQUIRE THE FILING OF AN ANNUAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENT. WHEREAS, Government Code Section 87300 requires every governmental agency to adopt and promulgate a Conflict of Interest Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Newport Beach did adopt such a code by Resolution No. 90 -21 on February 26, 1990; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the action of the City Council on February 26, 1990, it was discovered that certain city employees were inadvertently excluded from the Appendix of Designated Positions approved as part of the Conflict of Interest Code. The Appendix of Designated Positions should be amended to include these positions; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the action of the City Council on February 26, 1990, it was discovered that the City Manager was inadvertently included in the Appendix of Designated Positions. The Appendix of Designated Positions should be amended to exclude the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the list of positions appended to this resolution as Exhibit "A" accurately sets forth the designated positions as described in Section 2 of the Conflict of Interest Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Newport Beach hereby adopts Exhibit "A" as the list of designated positions which require the filing of a disclosure statement pursuant to Section 2 of the Conflict of Interest Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Exhibit "A" be appended to the Newport Beach Conflict of Interest Code as the Appendix of Designated Positions in lieu and instead of the Appendix of Designated Positions approved on February 26, 1990. ADOPTED this 12th day of March 1990.
