A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SUBSECTION A OF SECTION 12
OF THE HARBOR PERMIT POLICIES RELATING TO THE
SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR PERMITS TO BECOME EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 1990 AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 89 -58.
WHEREAS, on August 24, 1964, the City Council adopted a set
• of Harbor Permit Policies by Resolution No. 6019, which policies have
been subsequently amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is desirable to
increase the fees for new Pier Permits, Revisions, Pier Permit
Transfers and Dredging Permits, which necessitates the amendment of
Subsection A, of Section 12, of the Harbor Permit Policies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, that Subsection A, of Section 12, of the Harbor
Permit Policies of the City of Newport Beach is amended to read:
"A. Schedule of Fees:
New Permits Administrative Action $350.00
Council Action $450.00
Plus: $27.50 for each additional
slip and $2.75 for each lineal foot
of bulkhead, except in the Grand
Canal where new permits shall be $65.00.
Revisions Administrative Action $170.00
Council Action $280.00
Plus: $27.50 for each additional
slip and $2.75 for each lineal foot
of bulkhead.
Maintenance No configuration change: Less than
20% replacement. $ 50.00
Transfers $275.00
Dredging $190.00 per
500 cubic
yards.
For work started but not finished within the time limit specified,
• a $70.00 fee will be charged for any Council request for a time
extension.
For all transfers not applied for within thirty (30) days from the
date the abutting upland property changed ownership, an additional fee
of $70.00 will be charged.

If the value of the work proposed under a revision is over 50% of
the replacement value of the existing structure, a new Permit will be
required."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbor Permit Policies
adopted by Resolution No. 6029 be amended to reflect the above
• Amendment and a copy of said Amended Policies be kept on file in the
City Clerk's office.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above - mentioned Schedule of
Fees becomes effective as of July 1, 1990.
