A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION TO THE RESOURCES AGENCY OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL
ENHANCEMENT AND MITIGATION PROJECTS (RE. 1991 -92 AB -471 FUNDING
PROGRAM)
• WHEREAS, AB -471 provides that $10,000,000 of State
Transportation Funds be annually allocated for the next 10 years
and use to fund Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation projects;
and
WHEREAS, the City of the City of Newport Beach desires to
construct Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation projects within
the City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Newport
Beach shall apply to the Resources Agency of the State of
California, as follows:
1. Apply for all funds available to the City of Newport
Beach with are allocated for Environmental
Enhancement and Mitigation projects; and
2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, as the
City's authorized signatory and designated contract
person.
