RESOLUTION NO. 91 -43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO
THE ORANGE COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, on January 25, 1989, the Orange County Board of Supervisors
adopted Resolution No. 89 -114 approving the Orange County Hazardous Waste
Management Plan (the Plan) and Certified Environmental Impact Report No. 490; and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 1989, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
adopted Resolution No. 89 -21 approving the Plan and accepting EIR No. 490 as adequate;
and
WHEREAS, the Plan was submitted to the Department of Health Services
by the County of Orange as required by State law; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange and the Department of Health Services
discussed and resolved issues regarding the adequacy of the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the resolution of those issues resulted in certain amendments to
the Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 19, 1991, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Orange adopted Resolution No. 91 -159 approving those amendments and found that
previously certified EIR 409 was adequate to serve as a Program EIR for this project and
satisfied all requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and considered the Amendments
approved by Board of Supervisors' Resolution No. 91 -159; and
WHEREAS, previously certified EIR No. 490, considered prior to the
approval of this project, was determined adequate to serve as a Program EIR for this
project, and satisfies all requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach approves the Amendments to the Orange County Hazardous Waste
Management Plan.
ADOPTED this 13th day of May 1991.
