HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-63 - Modifying Certain FeesRESOLUTION NO. 91 -63 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH MODIFYING CERTAIN FEES AUTHORIZED BY TITLE 13, TITLE 15, TITLE 19 AND TITLE 20 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO BECOME EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 19910 AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NOS. 90 -54, 90 -55, 90- 56, 90 -57 AND 90 -58. • WHEREAS, Title 15 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code establishes sign permit fees relating to buildings and construction within the City of Newport Beach, which fees are to be set by resolution of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, Title 19 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code establishes subdivision and tentative map filing fees within the City of Newport Beach, which fees are to be set by resolution of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides for establishing of filing, appeals and other fees relating to zoning actions, which fees are to be set by resolution of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has adopted ordinances regulating the installation and placement of amateur radio antennas and satellite dish antennas, which requires the payment of a fee as a condition to the appeal of a decision of the Planning Director or Planning Commission relating to an application for an Amateur Radio Antennae Permit or Satellite Dish Antennae Permit; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the fees recommended by the City Manager, and finds them to be fair, equitable and reasonable. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach as follows: 1. The following schedule of fees for permit in connection • with Title 13 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is established: Section 13.06.020 Encroachment Permit $ 15.00 2. The following schedule of fees for application and permit fees in connection with Title 15 of the Newport Beach Municipal 2C 0 • Code is established: Section 15.16.060 Exception Permit Application Section 15.35.040 Fees - Residential Building Record Section 15.37.020 Approval In Concept Section 15.40.060 Traffic Studies $ 335.00 $ 62.00 $ 32.00 5% of consultant fees 3. The following schedule of fees for re- subdivision and tentative map filing fees in connection with Title 19 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is established: Section 19.12.010 Filing Of Map Section 19.12.040A Subdivision Containing Less Than 5 Lots Filing Of Map Section 19.12.040J(1) Appeal Fee $1,999.00 or $62.00 per lot, whichever is greater. � $ 375.00 4. The City Council may, at its discretion, waive all or a portion of the Planning Department Development Fees set forth in this Resolution for projects with low and moderate income housing. 7.
