A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING CITY PARTICIPATION
IN THE STATE -LOCAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
• WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach and the City of Costa Mesa
have applied for funding for eligible projects pursuant to the
State -Local Partnership Program authorized in Section 2600 et seq.
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, approval of a Master Agreement is a pre - requisite to
participation in the State -Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and desires to approve
the Master Agreement between the State of California and the City
of Newport Beach, and to authorize the execution of any other
document necessary to obtain funding for eligible projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach as follows:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
State -Local Entity Master Agreement Number SLTPP -5151 authorizing
City participation in the State -Local Partnership Program;
2. The Mayor, City Clerk or other appropriate City employee
are hereby authorized to execute any document necessary or
appropriate to apply for, or receive, funding pursuant to the
State -Local Partnership Program.
