A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE GENERAL
SERVICES DIRECTOR TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR
• FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR DISASTER RELIEF.
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is eligible to obtain certain Federal
financial assistance under P.L. 93 -288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, or state financial
assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act.
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes its agent, David
E. Niederhaus, to provide to the State and to the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) for all matters pertaining to such Federal
disaster assistance the assurances contained on the government form OES Form
130, (10 -189), attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A ", and by this reference
made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach appoints David E. Niederhaus as its agent for the City to make
application for financial assistance for disaster relief pursuant to the terms
and conditions set forth on Exhibit "A ".
ADOPTED this 23rd day of March 1992.
