HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-33 - Amendment 755 - Civic Plaza Planned CommunityRESOLUTION NO. 92 -33 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CIVIC PLAZA PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVEI, OPMENT PLAN (AMENDMENT NO. 755) WHEREAS, as part of the development and implementation of the Newport • Beach General Plan the Land Use Element has been prepared; and WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides specific procedures for the implementation of Planned Community zoning for properties within the City of Newport Beach; and WHEREAS, the proposed Planned Community. District Regulations are consistent with the Newport Beach General Plan; and WHEREAS, the proposed project meets the criteria of the Traffic Phasing Ordinance; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 707 of the Charter of the City of Newport Beach, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing to consider the proposed amendment and has recommended its approval to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council has held a duly noticed public hearing to consider and receive public testimony on the proposed amendment; and WHEREAS, Addendum No. 1 to Final EIR No. 149, previously certified on January 13, 1992, has been prepared to address the environmental effects of the proposed project in compliance with CEQA. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Final EIR 149, previously certified on January 13, 1992, and Addendum No. 1 to the Final EIR were considered prior to approval of the project. Together they were determined adequate to satisfy all the requirements of CEQA. The Addendum does not raise any important new issues regarding • the environmental effects of the project. The Final EIR and Addendum reflect the independent judgement of the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby adopt an amendment to the Planned Community Development Plan for the Civic Plaza Planned Community as described in Exhibit A, attached hereto (Amendment No. 755). ADOPTED this 27th day of April 1992.
