A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
BETWEENTHE CITY OFNEWPORT BEACH AND HCM
(HERTZ CLAIMS MANAGEMENT) FOR WORKERS'
COMPENSATION CLAIMS ADJUSTING SERVICES
(1992 -'93)
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach a certain Agreement for professional services for processing of
claims for Workers' Compensation between the City of Newport Beach and HCM,
Hertz Claims Management; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms and conditions of
said Agreement and finds them to be satisfactory and that it would be in the best
interest of the City to execute said Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that the Agreement above - described is approved, and the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and hereby is
authorized to renew said insurance plan for subsequent fiscal years, so long as the cost
of said insurance is within the amount budgeted and approved for that fiscal year.
