RESOLUTION NO. 94- 6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH ESTABLISHING THE CITY COUNCIL AD HOC CIOSA
IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Circulation Improvement and Open
Space Agreement in July 1992; and
WHEREAS, CIOSA provides funding for circulation improvements and the
dedication of open land for the enjoyment of current residents and future generations;
and
WHEREAS, significant issues regarding CIOSA may arise during its
implementation period; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that the City Council Ad Hoc CIOSA Implementation Committee is
hereby established as follows:
MEMBERSHIP: The Committee shall be comprised of the Mayor and two
City Council Members nominated by the Mayor and approved by the full City Council.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: The Committee shall:
1. Monitor the status and implementation of CIOSA which was approved by
the City Council in July 1992.
2. Make recommendations to the City Council to successfully carry out the
intent of the CIOSA.
TERMS: The Committee shall sunset on January 1, 1996 unless such term
shall be extended by the City Council.
ADOPTED this 24th date of January 1994.
