RESOLUTION NO. 94-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IMPOSING
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES FOR PROCESSING
DELINQUENT PARKING VIOLATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach requires payment of a penalty for
violation of a Municipal Code parking regulation within twenty-one days of the
issuance of the citation, and is required to transmit a delinquent notice for failure
to pay the penalty within said twenty-one day period; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is charged a fee by the
Department of Motor Vehicles for unpaid parking citations submitted to the
Department of Motor Vehicles for collection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach as follows:
1. That an administrative fee of $10.00 shall be imposed upon a delinquent
parking violation on the twenty- second day after an original parking citation is
issued.
2. That the administrative fee for processing a hold with the Department of
Motor Vehicles shall be $5.00.
