HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-50 - Local Pavement Management Plan - Measure MRESOLUTION NO. 94 -50 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY CERTIFYING A LOCAL PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TO QUALIFY FOR MEASURE M FUNDING The City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby resolves, • determines and orders as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, desires to maintain and improve the streets and roads within its jurisdiction; WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach supports regional coordination of transportation improvements; WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has a Pavement Management Plan in conformance with the criteria stated in the Orange County Local Transportation Authority Ordinance No. 2, Policy Resolution No. 3; WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3 requires that a Local Pavement Management Plan be in place and maintained to qualify for allocation of revenues generated from Measure M; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby certifies that it has developed a Pavement Management Plan and that the said plan contains, as a minimum, the following elements: Inventory of arterial and collector routes reviewed and updated biennially. The last update of the inventory was completed in February 1994. Assessment of pavement conditions for all routes in the system, updated biennially. The last review of pavement conditions was completed in February 1994. Identification of all sections of pavement needing rehabilitation or replacement. Determination of budget needs for rehabilitation or replacement of deficient sections of pavement for the current biennial period, and for the following biennial period. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of June, 1994. MAYOR
