A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING HARBOR
MUNICIPAL COURT'S ADOPTION OF A BAIL
SCHEDULE FOR VIOLATION OF NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 10.60.030, 5.96.015,
10.59.040,10.59.050,10.59.060 AND 10.54.020.
• WHEREAS, Section 1.04.010 (A.) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides that
an infraction of the Code may be punished by fines established in the Uniform Bail Schedule
adopted by Harbor Municipal Court; and
•
WHEREAS, Harbor Municipal Court establishes fines for Municipal Code violations in
the Uniform Bail Schedule upon the request of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, there has been no specific bail amount established for violation of Sections
10.60.030, 5.96.015; 10.59.040, 10.59.050, 10.59.060 and 10.54.020, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires Harbor Municipal Court to establish a specified
bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Sections 10.60.030, 5.96.015; 10.59.040, 10.59.050,
10.59.060 and 10.54.020,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
as follows:
1. The recommended bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Section 10.60.030,
restricting the exhibition of harmful matter in public places, is $200.
2. The recommended bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Section 5.96.015,
requiring a permit to operate an adult oriented business, is $200.
3. The recommended bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Sections 10.59.040,
10.59.050 & 10.59.060 relating to the possession and sale of graffiti implements, is $200.
4. The recommended bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Section 10.54.020,
restricting public nudity, is $200.
Adopted, this 8th day of May, 1995.
