A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING A ONE -WAY STREET
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6659.
• WHEREAS, Section 12.52. 010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides that whenever any resolution of this City designates any
one -way street, the City Traffic Engineer shall place and maintain
signs giving notice thereof, and Section 12.52.020 of the Municipal
Code provides that when signs are erected on any one -way street
giving notice thereof, no person shall drive, or park, any vehicle
in a direction contrary thereto; and
WHEREAS, the street hereinafter described is a street which
should be designated as a one -way street in order to facilitate the
flow of traffic and eliminate a traffic hazard;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
declares and resolves that Marine Avenue from South Bayfront to
Park Avenue is designated as a one -way street for northbound
traffic only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer shall
erect all necessary signs to indicate the above designation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 6659 be and hereby
is rescinded.
ADOPTED, this 12th day of June , 1995.
