A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REQUIRING ALL VEHICLES ENTERING THE INTERSECTION OF VILLA WAY AND
31ST STREET TO STOP.
• WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
provides, among other things, that whenever any ordinance or resolution of this City
designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a through street, or any
intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the
City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain stop signs on each and every street
intersecting such through street or portion thereof so designated; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there is a need for additional
intersection control at Villa Way and 31st Street in the City of Newport Beach; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, that the following described location is hereby designated as a location
at which vehicles are required to stop at all approaches:
Villa Way and 31st Street
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer be and
hereby is directed to erect and maintain all necessary signs at the above location.
