A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
DECLARING CITY'S VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF
HAMPDEN ROAD ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY AT 4717 HAMPDEN ROAD IN
CAMEO SHORES
is WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to the
provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300 eA SeMc . of the Streets & Highways
Code) is authorized to vacate a portion of a public easement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has reviewed and
considered the various elements of the General Plan of the City of Newport Beach prior to
declaring its intent to vacate a portion of this public easement and has determined that
the proposed vacation is consistent with the General Plan.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held a public hearing
on the proposed vacation of a portion of this public easement legally described on Exhibit
"A" and depicted on a map attached as Exhibit "B" at 7:00 P.M. August 14, 1995 in the
Chambers of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach located at 3300 Newport
Boulevard, Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires to vacate the
portion of Hampden Road, legally described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on the map
depicted on Exhibit "B ", reserving from the vacation an easement for public utility
purposes, the vacation to be processed pursuant to the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach that the portion of this public easement legally described in Exhibit "A ", and
depicted on the map attached as Exhibit "B" is hereby ordered vacated and abandoned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this
resolution recorded by the Orange County Recorder.

EXHIBIT "A" '
That portion of Hampden Road, 52.00 feet wide, in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
State of California as shown on map of Tract No. 3357 filed in Book 107, Pages 1 through 7 inclusive
of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, lying easterly of the
following described line:
•Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 27 of said Tract No. 3357; thence northerly, measured
at right angles from the southerly line of said Hampden Road, N 10 °00'00" E 52.00 feet to the
northerly line of said Hampden Road.
