The following comments on items on the Newport Beach City Council agenda are submitted by:

Item 1. Minutes for the August 12, 2014 Regular Meeting
The page numbers below refer to Volume 62. The passages in italics are from the draft, with suggested
changes shown in strikes--t underline format.
1. Page 32: in four places, "Nelson Nygaard" is "NelsonlNygaaro"'
2. Page 34, Item SS3, paragraph 3: "Principal Planner Campbell also detailed the residential
parking permit program (RP3) and results of a survey showing 68% in support."
3. Page 35, paragraph 2: 1)o; ne Deanna Schnabel expressed support of improvements,
but..."
4. Page 36: the two paragraphs just before "III. PUBLIC COMMENTS" have extraneous
commas
5. Page 36: under "III. PUBLIC COMMENTS," paragraph 2, last sentence: "... the City's
desired option is the one that was negotiated in good faith and signed off by the Airport
Working Group (AWG) and the City."
6. Page 37, paragraphs 2 and 3 from end: "Jan Gets Oates" [two places]
7. Page 38: under "Newport Beach Sister City Association ": "Liddy Paulsen Paulsen, ..."
8. Page 44, paragraph 1, next to last sentence: "She listed meetings that will occur prior,
including the upcoming County Planning Commission meeting on September 10, at 1:30
p.m. and the Airport' and Use Commission meeting on September 17."
9. Page 47, paragraph 1 under Items 19/22: "Council Member Henn recused himself from
Items 19 and 20 22 due to a business interest with an adjoining property owner."
10. Page 48, paragraph 3: "Hugh Helm, Lido Isle Homeowners Association, addressed a
resident survey, pende^'s among which 98% of respondents opted for a hotel concept
at the old City Hall site."
11. Page 50, paragraph 4, last sentence: "... and commented on the designation of the facility
as 114104-3 MU -H5 ..."
