Mariners' Mile Planning Charrette
The Congress for the New Urbanism California Chapter in Partnership with `SAVE
The City of Newport Beach
October 17 - 21, 2014 - Newport Beach Civic Center
The Congress for the New Urbanism California Chapter is conducting a five -day planning
and design charrette to test new ideas to improve thel Mariners' Mile corridor. With your
participation and local knowledge, our design teams plan on identifying design techniques
th at wil I improve vehicular flow, the pedestrian experience, and bicycle access. The ch arrette
will be held at the City of Newport Beach Civic Center Community Room,
100 Civic Center Drive, and open to all at these times:
Friday, Oct. 17, 5:30 -7:00 p.m. - Opening Presentation
Saturday, Oct. 18, 5:00 -6:30 p.m. - In -House Studio
Sunday, Oct. 19,5:00-6:00 p.m. - Public Walking Tour I SE Corner of Tustin Ave & Coast Hwy
Monday, Oct. 20, 5:00 -6:30 p.m. - In -House Studio
Tuesday, Oct. 21, 5:30 -6:30 p.m. - Rnal Presentation
