ACTION: Approve a budget amendment to transfer $1,308 from the Bonita Canyon
Apartment Overtime Account 010 -22366 to the Building Department
Overtime Account 2900 -7040.
The Building Department is experiencing a high volume of activity this year exceeding
last year's, which was a record year. Irvine Apartment Communities began
construction on 43 buildings in Village II and III in March 1999, simultaneously. The
Building Department resources cannot cope with such an aggressive schedule. In
order not to cause impact on our service level to other construction projects throughout
. the City, it was agreed to employ heavy overtime usage throughout the weekends and
after hours. IAC agreed to reimburse the City for the cost of such overtime and has
deposited funds from which periodic transfers can be made. This Amendment
represents the accrued and estimated overtime cost till the end of this Fiscal Year.
