Re: Budget Amendment
A check for $90,000 will be presented by The Friends of the Newport Theatre Arts
Center and should be deposited into account 250 - Contributions Fund. The Friends
have raised these funds to provide 60% of the funding for the remodel of the City's
Theatre Arts Center. Of the $90,000, $27,463.69 was recognized as revenue in the
prior year; therefore, $62,536.31 will be processed as a budget amendment in the
current year.

EXPLANATION:
This budget amendment is requested to provide for the following:
To increase appropriations and revenues by the amount not expended in the prior fiscal year. The Friends of the
Newport Theatre Arts Center will be donating $90,000 to the City of Newport Beach for the Newport Theatre Arts
Center. The amount expended in fy98199 was $27,463.69. There are no prior budget amendments.
