SUBJECT: Btidget Amendment for Reforestation Project
Recommendation
Approve a budget amendment to increase revenue appropriations in Revenue Account 3180-
5860, and increase expenditure appropriations in Account 7015- C3170367, both in the amount of
$7,765.82.
Background
The City has received payments from private individuals responsible for damage to City trees.
The payments total $7,765.82. A portion of the fees ($339) were paid to replace a relocated tree
that did not survive at 2036 Commodore Road; and, the remainder was paid by a second party to
replace a tree that was damaged in a traffic accident.
Discussion
The funds were deposited into Revenue Account 3180 -5860 (Street Tree Division — Damage to
City Property). At this time, the funds need to be transferred to an expenditure account, so they
may be utilized to pay for a portion of the reforestation of Bayside Drive between Jamboree
Road and El Paseo Drive. A budget amendment form is attached for this purpose.
