Approve the improvement plans and specifications and accept the public improvements constructed in conjunction with Resubdivision No. 1010. 2. Authorize the City Clerk to release the faithful performance and labor and material surety (Union Bank Certificate of Deposit No. 27993). DISCUSSION: The public improvements constructed in conjunction with Resubdivision No. 1010 have been inspected and are satisfactory for acceptance. Public improvements include the construction of Hampden Road street end, and relocation and /or abandonment of public utilities in Hampden Road. These improvements will be maintained by the City. Private improvements include the construction of a retaining wall /sound wall along the East Coast Highway frontage. These improvements will be maintained by the owner. SUBJECT: RESUBDIVISION NO. 1010 -4717 HAMPDEN ROAD, CAMEO SHORES January 23, 2001 Page 2 The property owner requests the labor and materials surety be released concurrently with the faithful performance surety rather than being held for six months. The contractor has provided the City with a letter stating he has been paid in full. An exhibit is attached for reference.
