I have been a resident of Newport Beach for almost ten years and as a result of my residency have come to appreciate what a special community we have here. In order to preserve the unique nature of Newport Beach citizens such as myself must take an active part to ensure the overall environment of the City is preserved and enhanced. A balance view must be take to environmental issues to make sure that the community does not stagnate and at the same time negative impacts can be minimized or through thoughtful debate eliminated. There are few black and white issues today and the key to a successful contribution is sorting through the grey. I look forward to being considered for one of the At -Large positions on the committee and being able to serve our community. J
