Re: Presentation of Art to the City
The City Arts Commission is pleased to present to the City and to the City's extensive
art collection, the work of artist Steve Simon. Former Arts Commission Chair, Roberta
Jorgensen will make the presentation.
The work was created as the entry representing the City of Newport Beach, in the City
Pride Showcase part of the Arts Around the County project at the 2001 Orange County
Fair this summer.
Steve Simon was asked to participate in the program, representing the City Arts
Commission. The participating artists created their work at the Fair in the public
section of the fair.
The Simon work won first place in the competition among the participating artists
