DISCUSSION: The City recently had a telephone survey done as part of the General Plan update visioning process. The survey was administered to 1,000 residents and 175 business people in Newport Beach. Staff received the "topline" results this week. We have provided them to the General Plan Update and Advisory Committees, and the survey results are on both committees' agendas for Monday, October 21. The survey questions and results for the resident and business surveys are in two separate attachments to this report. These early results show responses to the survey questions on a Citywide basis only. Godbe Research & Analysis, who prepared the survey, is analyzing the results in more detail and preparing breakdowns by geographic area and other characteristics. These full results will be presented to the General Plan Update and Advisory Committees on November 4.
