SUBJECT: BUDGET AMENDMENT TO ACCEPT A CHECK FROM THE NEWPORT
BEACH LIBRARY (NBPL) FOUNDATION AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS
FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS BUDGET FOR FY 2004105.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve a Budget Amendment to increase revenue estimates by $20,000 in Account
No. 4090 -5893 (NBPL Foundation Donations) and increase expenditure estimates by
the same amount in Division 4090, Foundation.
DISCUSSION:
A check from the NBPL Foundation in the amount of $20,000, approved by the Library
Board of Trustees on November 16, 2004, will be given to City Council. The entire
donation was received by the Foundation from The Irvine Company and will be
deposited into a 4090 (NBPL Foundation) expenditure account to pay for the
replacement of the palm trees in the front of the library. The original palms were
diseased and had to be removed.
The funds will be deposited in the expenditure account as specified below:
4090 -8250 (Special Department Expenses)
