SUBJECT: COUNCIL DECISION ON WHETHER TO HOLD JULY 12TH REGULAR
MEETING
ISSUE:
With at least two members of the City Council being unable to attend the next regular
Council meeting on July 12th, does the City Council want to go dark that meeting?
DISCUSSION:
Background:
It is rare for more than one Council Member to miss a regular City Council meeting,
however on July 12th Council Members Ridgeway and Webb will be in Antibes, France
with a Sister City delegation, helping to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Sister City
relationship between Newport Beach and Antibes.
Staff is not aware of any City business that is so critical that Council could not be dark
on July 12th
