1. COUNCIL VACANCY IN DISTRICT 7.
a. INTERVIEWS OF DISTRICT 7 APPLICANTS.
Action: 1) By lot, determine order of candidates to be
interviewed.
2) Conduct interviews.
3) Public comments.
b. SELECTION OF DISTRICT 7 COUNCIL MEMBER.
Action: 1) Discussion of candidates.
2) Conduct selection by paper ballot.
3) New Council Member announced by the City Clerk.
C. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE.
Action: 1) The City Clerk calls the newly appointed District 7
Council Member forward and administers the Oath of
Office prescribed in the State Constitution.
2) The newly appointed Council Member is seated at the
Council dais.
OR IF COUNCIL REPLACEMENT IS NOT APPOINTED:
d. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR JUNE 6, 2006.
Action: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 2006- Calling and Giving
Notice of the Holding of a Special Municipal Election
to be Held on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, for the Election
of a Council Member to Fill the Vacant Seat in
District 7; and
2) Adopt Resolution No. 2006 -_ Requesting the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to

SPEAKER MUST LIMIT REMARKS TO 5 MINUTES ON AGENDA ITEMS.
RED LIGHT WILL SIGNIFY WHEN 5 MINUTES ARE UP;
YELLOW LIGHT MEANS SPEAKER HAS 1 MINUTE FOR SUMMATION.
2) Adopt Resolution No. 2006 - Requesting the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to
Consolidate a Special Municipal Election to be Held
on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, with the Primary Election
to be Held on the Same Date Pursuant to Section
10403 of the Elections Code.

considered to be within the subject matter jurisdiction of the
Council -- Speakers must limit comments to 3- minutes. Before
