(5 Ayes, 1 Abstain, 1 Absent) Item 2: The minutes of June 22, 2006 were approved with corrections. (5 Ayes, 1 Abstain, 1 Absent) Item 3: D'Amato Residence (PA2004 -189) 2319 Pacific Drive Request for Variance No. 2004 -002 to allow portions of a new single - family residence to exceed the 24 -foot height limit and Modifcation Permit No. 2006 -072 to allow portions of the garage and an architectural entry wall element to encroach into the required front yard setback. This item was continued to August 3, 2006 at the request of staff to allow additional review and analysis pertaining to various policies of the City's new Coastal Land Use Plan. ((6 Ayes, 1 Absent) Item 4: General Plan Update: Land Use Element Policies for the Airport Area The Planning Commission focused their discussion on the Land Use Element Polices for the Airport Area. The actions of the Planning Commission are reported in the supplemental report prepared for Agenda Planning Commission Agenda for July 6, 2006 Page 2. Item No. 33. They were appointed by the City Council by majority vote for 4 -year terms. At the table in front are City staff members who are here to advise the Commission during the meeting. They are: SHARON Z. HARP, Assistant City Attorney NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC Regular meetings of the Planning Commission are held on the Thursdays preceding second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. Staff reports or other written documentation have been prepared for each item of business listed on the agenda. If you have any questions or require copies of any of the staff reports or other documentation please contact the Planning Department staff at (949) 644 -3200. The Planning Commission Members have received detailed staff reports on each of the items recommending an action. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time the Commission votes on the motion unless members of the Commission, staff or the public request specific items to be discussed and /or removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action. Members of the public who wish to discuss a Consent Calendar item should come forward to the lectern upon invitation by the Chairman, state their name and Consent Calendar Item number. ITEM NO. 1.
