RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the purchase of one 12' x 40' modular office building from Modular Structures International, Inc. of Riverside at a cost of $34,034.00. DISCUSSION: The FY 2008 -09 Capital Improvement Budget includes $45,000.00 to fund the purchase and installation of an office trailer in the Corporation Yard. The trailer will provide additional office space for Operations Support Division supervisory staff who currently share small offices in the Carpenter and Sign Shops. General Services Department staff sought quotes from companies who provide such trailers and three responses were received as follows: Companv Cost Modular Structures International, Inc. $34,034.00 Commercial Mobile Systems $39,306.00 Mobile Modular Management Corp. $42,483.05 Modular Structures International provided the Planning and Public Works office trailers in 2007. The cost quotations exclude furniture, equipment, and power /communication connections. Those will be funded out of the remaining account balance.
