Hsiang to fill the At -Large vacancy. 2. Appoint Kimberly A. Van Natta to fill the Fashion Island /Newport Center vacancy. DISCUSSION: An At -Large position has recently opened due to the death of Gary Di Sano. David Hsiang has been a resident of Newport Beach for the last seven years and he is principal at a Newport Beach accounting firm. To further his ability to serve the community, Mr. Hsiang is a recent graduate from the City's Police Department Citizen's Academy. Mr. Hsiang has a Master's in Business Administration and is pursuing a law degree. His education and interest in Newport Beach will make him an asset to the EDC. The position representing Fashion Island /Newport Center was vacated by the recent resignation of Jim Donnell. Kimberly Van Natta is Operating Vice President and General Manager of Bloomingdale's at Fashion Island, a position she has held since 1997. She is locally active in the community, serving on the Fashion Island Merchant Committee since 2005, and she was elected to the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2009. It is the unanimous recommendation of the Economic Development Committee that Mr. Hsiang and Ms. Van Natta be appointed by the City Council to fill the vacancies. Prepared by: Submitted by: eigh M. We are currently the proud attendees of the Newport Beach Police Department Citizens Academy. Our eldest daughter Maggie graduated from Our Lady Queens and Angels this year and currently study in Mater Del High School. Our youngest daughter Joana is on the 8th grade of OLQA Currently, I am the principal of CPA accounting form here in Newport Beach. In addition to my practice, I am also the California Bar Examination Candidate. that My primary interest is to serve on the Economic Development Committee and Finance Committee. But as bicyclist myself, I am very interesting to be part of the legislative process concerning this matter. The former mayor Mr. Dennise O'Neill and his Mrs. Thai O'neill are good friends of our family. Mrs.O'neill and us serve on many charitable events together Newport Beach is the unique place and we cherish the opportunity to live in this great city and raise our children.
