SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AFFAIRS
COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the Mayor's appointment of Arlene Greer as the Chairperson of the Environmental
Quality Affairs Committee.
DISCUSSION:
Kenneth Drellishak has served as the Chairperson of the Environmental Quality Affairs
Committee since July 25, 2006, and has indicated that he wishes to resign. Mayor Curry
wishes to appoint Arlene Greer as the new Chairperson. Ms. Greer has been the District 7
At -large Member since December 12, 2006. She has been the president of the Pointe
Community Association in Newport Ridge and has been involved in various community
and arts organizations.
