SUBJECT: BUDGET AMENDMENT TO ACCEPT A CHECK FROM THE
NEWPORT BEACH ARTS FOUNDATION AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS
FOR A SHAKESPEARE BY THE SEA PRODUCTION and A CONCERT
IN THE PARK PERFORMANCE and CITY ARTS COMMISSION
BROCHURE
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve a Budget Amendment in the amount of $15,000.
DISCUSSION:
A check from the Newport Beach Arts Foundation in the amount of $15,000 to
support a Shakespeare by the Sea production, a summer Concert in the Park
performance and a Newport Beach City Arts Brochure.
When appropriated the funds will be used as follows:
1. 4002 -8010 Advertising & Public Relations $5,000
Newport Beach City Arts brochure advertising annual programs
To be outsourced for design and printing.
2. 4002 -8200 Special Department Supplies $10,000
Contracted services with Shakespeare by the Sea for two summer
performances; "Twelfth Night" and "Romeo and Juliet" on August
9 and 10, 2003. ($6,000.)
Contracted services with musicians and staging services for one additional
2003 summer Concert in the Park. ($4,000.)
