SUBJECT: UPPER BAYVIEW LANDING PARK/SENIOR HOUSING PAYMENT OF
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING — J.C. TRUXAW & ASSOCIATES
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the payment to Joseph C. Truxaw and Associates for Professional
Engineering Services in conjunction with the City's share of preliminary engineering for
the joint project, Upper Bayview Landing Park and Senior Affordable Housing, with The
Related Companies of California in the amount of $40,592.17, which will come from the
CIOSA Fund.
DISCUSSION:
On February 25, 2003, City Council directed staff to pursue a joint project with The
Related Companies of California for Upper Bayview Landing Park and Senior
Affordable Housing. The Related Companies hired Joseph C. Truxaw and Associates
to provide the preliminary engineering necessary to submit an application for a Coastal
Development Permit. The City's share in this joint effort totals $40,592.17.
In general, the scope of J.C. Truxaw & Associates professional services included:
• Existing Conditions Base Map
• Preliminary and Conceptual Grading Study
• Preliminary Retention Basin Design
• Meetings and Coordination
• Hydrology and Hydraulics Study
• Water Quality compliance
• Lot line adjustment services
