H -3
It is the policy of the City Council, through cooperative and mutually supportive
endeavors of the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange and the State Fish
and Game Department to preserve and enhance the natural assets of the Refuge;
to create the best possible marine tide pool environment; and to insure their
continued existence.
In order to accomplish this goal the Marine Department shall, when possible,
schedule and regulate school field trips to the Refuge. Marine Preserve
Officer(s) assigned to the Tide Pool Refuge are to educate and enforce rules and
regulations for the purpose of keeping this resource from being depleted of
Marine Life.
