In order to insure that work performed by the City of Newport Beach
itself, or by and through its contractors, will conform strictly to
the grading requirements and procedures imposed by the grading code
and similar regulations of the City of Newport Beach, the City
Council hereby adopts its policy to require that all its grading
requirements found in Newport Beach Municipal Code and any applicable
regulations shall be strictly complied with by the City, by City
employees and agents, and any contractors performing work for or
on behalf of the City within the City of Newport Beach.
