HomeMy WebLinkAbout(1986, 02/10) - L-12 - AdoptedL -12 SOUND ATTENUATION WALLS Sound attenuation walls may be required as par,L of the environmental process related to street improvement projec , or may be required as mitigations for development projects causin significant traffic increases. It is the intent of this poli that such walls be designed in an esthetically pleasing manner, purs ant to the standards outlined below. New sound attenutation walls shall dinarily be constructed with slump stone or split face concrete block For locations where the new wall will be integrated with existing alls, the new wall shall match existing walls if the specified egree of sound attenuation can be provided. Replacement of exis ing landscaping disturbed by wall construction shall be includ in the wall project. An alignment incorporating staggered or offset panels may be utilized where adequate right of w y exists, or additional space can be provided on private property. StAndard roadway widths, sidewalk widths, and bicycle trail widths slyall not be reduced in order to provide additional space for a staggered all alignment.
