POLICY ON DONOR RECOGNITION
I. All donors to the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation ( NBPLF) shall
receive a thank you letter.
II. All donors with contributions of $1,000 or more shall be permanently
recognized on a donor recognition system as follows:

III. A special

the donor recognition system shall be titled
Memorials" recognij 2ng gifts of $1,000 or more made in memory of an
individual.
IV. All service clubs,; PTA'S, schools or other organizations who collectively
donate $1,000 or'more shall be recognized by the organizational name.
V. Dedication opportunities exist for those donors who make gifts to specific
areas of the library in appropriate, approved locations as set forth in
the document called "Dedication Opportunities."
VI. Recognition of pledges shall be based upon the total amount pledged.
Pledges less than $100,000 shall have two (2) years for payment; gifts of
1001000.or greater shall have three (3) years to complete the pledge.
VII. Appropriate recognition items could be given to donors (at the 7 levels
listed above) at the discretion of the NBPLF Board. The cost of such
items should not exceed one to two percent (1 - 2%) of the total amount of
the gift.

VIII. No "plaques" shall be placed on or affixed to any furniture or equipment
in the library.
IX. Any exception to this policy will require the express approval of the
NBPLF Board of Directors.
