Staff Recommendation
Certify the AD- I I I and AD- 116b Petitions
Property owners have met the legally required 50% minimum but were unable
to reach 60%.
The City's Balboa Blvd. 20a project is on hold pending resolution of these
Districts.
District 116 is preparing to vote and Districts I I I and 116b are also adjacent
to the City's Balboa Blvd. 20a project. Much of Assessment Engineering work is
complete.
If any of the proposed Districts are approved by the property owners, there
will be cost savings for the City's Balboa Blvd project and to each District.
Regardless of the outcome, the vote will finalize the boundaries and allow the
Balboa Blvd undergrounding project to move forward.
The vote would be held prior to the design work to minimize the risk.
