Diane Brooks Dix n Mayor a.i 'u"!' &.. ...,..L...i I, d;r,• u} WffEREAS, Monday, February 15, 2016, at approximately 10:30 a.m., 12alph Davis was sitting by the pool at the Marriott villas in the City of Newport Beach; and `WJftEREAS, Ralph heard someone yell for a Cfeguard, and immediately ran to where the person was pointing, down to the Cower pool; and WJIEW�EAS, 12afph came upon Lorna Campbell as she was checking for the child's respiration andpufse; and WJPEW�EAS, Ralph is a trained EM7and an rERTechnician at VC Davis MedicaCCenter. `iN"J[EUAS, Ralph utilized his fife safety training and managed the child's airway while Lorna was performing C(1 -AX- and `WWEREAS, Rafph continued to assist with CTR untif the child regained a pulse and startedgasping; and WJI�REAS, due to Mr. (Davis' quick actions and heroic assistance, little Nixon Minor's life was surely saved on that day. (Diane Brooks Dix n Mayor `WXEWS, Monday, February 15, 2016, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Lorna Campbeff was sitting by the poofat the Marriott Villas in the City of Newport Beach; and `G1&IEAS, Lorna heard someone yell for a Cfeguard, and immediately ran to where the person was pointing; and U&I RE,4S, Lorna is a Paramedic with the County of Simcoe, Ontario, Canada; and TEREf7S, Lorna utilized her Cfe safety training and checked for respirations and a pulse on the 3 year -ofd boy; and WXEREf7S, when Lorna found his vitafsigns absent, and his coforgray, she started chest compressions; and TVJ&R,EAS, Lorna continued to perform CT, until the child regained a pulse, started gasping, and regained color; and ` I&RE,4S, Lorna continued to monitor her young patient until the Fire Department and (Paramedics arrived,• and `WWER,EAS, Lorna gave a report of her actions to the Paramedics as she transferred the care and fife saving measures of Nixon Minor to them before they left for the hospital,• and 'W'HEW�EAS, due to Ms. Camp6eCC's quickand heroic actions, little Nixon Minor's fife was surely saved on that day.
