SUBJECT: BUILDING MAINTENANCE .SERVICES FOR CITY HALL COMPLEX
Discussion:
The contract with the company presently providing building maintenance
services for the City Hall complex, including the Council Chambers and
the Professional and Technical Building, will be cancelled effective
February 28, 1989 due to generally unsatisfactory performance of the
present contractor. The City is currently paying $4,125.00 /month for
this service.
Bids from 4 other companies to provide these services ranged in price
from a high of $5,855.00 /month to a low of $3,871.93 /month. I was
most favorably impressed with the Ed Building Maintenance Company who
happened to be the low bidder ($3,871.93 /month). They have been in
business since 1965 and have a good reputation servicing municipal and
county accounts in Southern California.
Recommendation:
Approve the �ntatae.$�for building maintenance services for
the City Hall complex, Council Chambers and the Professional Technical
Building to the +J -Buildimq., Lamy amt a cost of
$3,871.93/month.
