WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to fix the salaries of all appointive officials and employees of the City of Newport Beach; and WHEREAS, the compensation and salaries of said appointive officials and employees have heretofore been fixed by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires to change some of said salaries in certain particulars. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the amounts set opposite the names of the appointive officials and employees, shall be deemed to be and shall be monthly salaries, payable the first Monday following the month in which they shall be earned.
