AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH FIXING THE SALARY OF THE MARSHAL AND RECORDER OF SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 89' AND NO, 123 THEREOF. The Board of Trustees of the City: A Newport Beach do ordain as fol lows. Section 1. The salary of the Mary shal and eX- officio tax and license col lector of the City of Newport Beach shall be.one hundred and ten dollars ($110.00) per month; and the salary ,Qf 3the Recorder of said City shall be ten (10) dollars per month; said sala- ries shall be paid at the same time and In the same manner as the salary of other officers of said City is paid. Section 2. Ordinance No. 89 of the City of Newport Beach is hereby re Pealed. Seetiou 3. Ordinance No. 123 of the I City of Newport Beach is hereby re Pealed. 1 Section 4. This O3inanae shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passage and in the mean. i time it shall be printed and published once in the NEWPORT NEWS, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in ;the City of Newport Beach. The above and foregoing Ordinance j No. 142 was passed at a regular meet - �Ing of the Board of Trustees held on the 13th day of May, 1918. and on said ;day was approved by the President of said Board of Trustees, the same being passed by the vote of the fol- lowing named members of said Board: Ayes— Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Gen. P. Wilson, J. C. Me- Cain, L. S. Wilkinson. Noes —None. Absent —None. The foregoing Ordinance No. 142 is approved by me this 13th day of May, 1918. J. P. ORDINANCE NO. 143. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 124 OF SAID CITY. �TLe Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 124 is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "Section 3. Any person appointed to fill said office so long as such per- son shall discharge the duties thereof shall receive a monthly compensation to be fixed from time to time by the Board of Trustees by resolution or upon motion duly made, seconded and carried. Said salary shall be paid out of the Salary Fund and at the same time and in the same manner as the salary of other officers of said City is paid." Clerk of e City o Nevrport ,_. t-=. Section 2.
