HomeMy WebLinkAbout339 - Not AdoptedORDINANCE NO. 339 NOT ADOPTED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH BY ITS CITY COUNCIL AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY THEREOF, CREATING A DEPARTMENT TO BE KNOWN AS THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICITY: CREATING THE OFFICE OF CITY ELECTRICIAN AND PRESCRIBING HIS POWERS AND DUTIES; AND PROVIDING FOR-THE GREATER SAFETY TO LIFE AND PROPERTY BY GOVERNING AND REGULATING THE INSTALLATION OF ALL ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS, APPARATUS AND MATERIAL OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER (EXCEPTING TELEPHONES) WHETHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF ANY BUILDING OR UPON ANY STREET, ALLEY OR PUBLIC HIGHWAY WITHIN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH. The ordinance was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 339 passed to the second reading and referred to the City Attorney. Ordinance No. 339 was introduced on March 5, 1928; but was denied passage on April 30, 1928.
