The City Council of the city of
Newport Beach does hereby ordain
as follows, to -wit:
Section 1. Section 4, Subdivision
"d" of Ordinance No. 440 of the
city of Newport Beach is hereby
amended to read as follows, to-
wit:
"Except as provided in Sections
10 and 11, no Building shall be
erected closer than twenty (20)
feet to the front line of the Build-
ing Site, except that no building
Shall be erected closer than twenty -
five (25) feet to the front property
line of the Building Site on Lots
1 to 12 inclusive, Block 1; Lots 1
to 13 inclusive, Block 2; Lots 1 to
11 inclusive, Block 3; Lots 1 to
11 inclusive, Block 4 and Lots 1
to 11 inclusive, Block 5, all being
in the El Bayo Tract in the city
of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California.
Section 2. This ordinance shall
be printed and published once in
NEWPORT BALBOA NEWS -
TIMES, a newspaper printed, pub-
lished and circulated in the city
of Newport Beach, and Shall take
effect and be in force thirty (30)
days after its passage.
The above and foregoing Ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
• meeting of the City Council of the
city of Newport Beach held on the
3rd day of June, 1940, and was
finally passed and adopted on the
17th day of June, 1940, by the City
Council of the city of Newport
Beach at an adjourned regular
meeting thereof, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Reed,
Allen, Brown, Gordon.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.

Claire.

The above and foregoing Ordi-
nance is signed and approved by
me this 17th day of June, 1940.
