ORDINANCE NO. 572
AN ORDINANCE OF THE .Cm.
COUNCIL, AUTHORIZING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CON-
TRACT PROVIDING FOR THE
PARTICIPATION OF T H E•
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
IN THE CALIFORNIA STATE
EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM, MAKING ITS EM-
PLOYEES MEMBERS OF SAID
SYSTEM.
The City Council, of the City of
Newport Beach does ordaine as
follows:
SECTION 1. That an amend-
ment to the Contract providing for
the participation of City of New-
port Beach, in the State Employ-
ees' Retirement System, is here-
by authorized between the City
Council of City of Newport Beach
and the Board of Administration,
California State Employees' Re-
tirement System, a copy of said
'amendment being attached hereto,
marked "Exhibit A ", and by such
reference made a part hereof as
though herein set out in full.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the
City of Newport Beach, is hereby
authorized, empowered, and direct-
ed to execute said amendment for
and on behalf of said Agency.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance
shall take effect 30 days after the
date of its adoption, and prior to
the expiration of 5 days from the
passage thereof shall be published
at least once in the Newport Bal-
boa News - Times, a newspaper of
'general circulation, published and
'circulated in the City of Newport
Beach, and thenceforth and there-
' after the same shall be in full
force and effect.
Adopted and approved this 9th
'day of February, 1948.
