• <br />ORDINANCE NO. 606 <br />O R D I N A NCE DESIGNATING <br />B A L B O A BOULEVARD BE- <br />TWEEN MCFADDEN P L A C E <br />AND ALVARADO STREET A <br />ONE -WAY STREET. <br />The City Council of the City of <br />Newport Beach does ordain as fol- <br />lows: <br />SECTION 1: Section 3298 of the <br />Municipal Code of the City of <br />Newport Beach is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br />"In accordance with Section <br />3249 and when properly sign - <br />posted traffic shall move only <br />in the direction indicated upon <br />the following streets: <br />Balboa Boulevard between <br />McFadden Place and Alvarado <br />Street " <br />SECTION 2: It is hereby de- <br />clared that this is an ordinance <br />for the protection of public health <br />and safety and its urgency arises <br />from the fact that a traffic hazard <br />presently exists in the two way <br />Plan of traffic on each side of said <br />street due to the fact that same is <br />L1 <br />a divided street. <br />SECTION 3: T h i a ordinance <br />shall be published at least once in <br />the Newport- Balboa Press, a news- <br />paper of general circulation print- <br />ed and published in the City of <br />Newport Beach, and shall become <br />effective forthwith upon its final <br />passage. <br />I hereby certify that the above <br />and foregoing ordinance was intro- <br />duced at a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of New- <br />port Beach held on the 25th day of <br />July, 1949, and was finally passed <br />and adopted on the 8th day of <br />August, 1949, by the following <br />vote, to wit: <br />AYES, Councilmen G r e e l e y, <br />Robertson, Blue, Isbell and <br />Drake. <br />NOES, Councilmen, None. <br />ABSENT, Councilmen, None. <br />DICK DRAKE, <br />Attest: Mayor. <br />C.
