ORDINANCE NO. 606
O R D I N A NCE DESIGNATING
B A L B O A BOULEVARD BE-
TWEEN MCFADDEN P L A C E
AND ALVARADO STREET A
ONE -WAY STREET.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1: Section 3298 of the
Municipal Code of the City of
Newport Beach is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"In accordance with Section
3249 and when properly sign -
posted traffic shall move only
in the direction indicated upon
the following streets:
Balboa Boulevard between
McFadden Place and Alvarado
Street "
SECTION 2: It is hereby de-
clared that this is an ordinance
for the protection of public health
and safety and its urgency arises
from the fact that a traffic hazard
presently exists in the two way
Plan of traffic on each side of said
street due to the fact that same is

a divided street.
SECTION 3: T h i a ordinance
shall be published at least once in
the Newport- Balboa Press, a news-
paper of general circulation print-
ed and published in the City of
Newport Beach, and shall become
effective forthwith upon its final
passage.
I hereby certify that the above
and foregoing ordinance was intro-
duced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of New-
port Beach held on the 25th day of
July, 1949, and was finally passed
and adopted on the 8th day of
August, 1949, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, Councilmen G r e e l e y,
Robertson, Blue, Isbell and
Drake.
NOES, Councilmen, None.
ABSENT, Councilmen, None.
