AN ORDINANCE ADDING SEC=
TION 6247 -A TO THE MUNI-
CIPAL CODE OF THE CITY`
OF NEWPORT BEACH EX-
EMPTING THE BLIND FROM
THE PROVISIONS OF SEC-
TION 6247
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1: There is hereby
added to the Municipal Code of the
City of Newport Beach Section
6247 -a, to read as follows:
"Section 6247 -a. Any person who
is blind to the extent which would
enable him to qualify. for the Cali-
fornia State Rehabilitation Ser-
vice, shall be exempt from the pro -
v1sions of Section 6247 of the
Code."
SECTION 2: This ordinance
shall be pub,i'shed at least once in
the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and shall take
effect 30 days after its final pas-
sage.
The foregoing Ordinance was in-
tf•oduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 24 day
of March, 1952, and was finally
passed and adopted on the 14 day
of April, 1952, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch,
Ramsey, Greeley, Blue, Isbell
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
