AMENDING SECTION -5210 OF
ARTICLE V OF THE MUNICI-
PAL CODE ENTITLED "COL -,
LECTION TI1TE ".

NeWport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Section 5210 of
Article V of the Municipal Code
of the City of Newport Beach, be
and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 5210. Collection Time.
"The Street Superintendent shall
1 establish regular days and hours of
the day for the collection of gar-
bage, refuse and cuttings, and
shall notify the occupants of any
residence or place of business of
the day and as nearly as possible
the hour of the day when the gar- 1
bage, refuse and cuttings will be
collected from such residence or
place of business; garbage and re-
�fuse shall be kept.fn separate re -J
ceptacles, each occupant shall, atl
the time established for collecting
garbage, refuse and cuttings, place
the cuttings and the receptacles
separately containing the accum-
ulated garbage end refuse upon
the outer edge of the sidewalk on
the street or alley adjacent there-
to along which the person collect-
ing such garbage, refuse and cut-
tings usually proceeds. Said gar-
bage, refuse and cuttings shall not
be mixed.
SECTION 2: The above and
foregoing ordinance shall be pub-
lished once in the Newport Harbor
News - Press, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation, printed and pub-
lished and circulated in the Cityl
Of Newport Beach, and the same
shall be in full force and effect
30 days after this passage.
The above and foregoing ordin-
ance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on the
27th day of December, 1955, and
was finally passed and adopted on
the 9th day of January, 1956, by
the following roll call vote, to -wit:

Wilder, Mackay, Stoddard, Hig-
bie, Ridderhof, Hill.
